Another week flew by in a whirlwind! My work work has been crazy, crazy busy, lots of long days and lots of fun projects coming in. I just love it!

I thought I’d do an update this way, see what happens!

Working on

New illustrations and designs for licensing. I realize how scattered my portfolio is right now, with different styles, subjects, etc. so I’m working on bringing it up to date.

A snippet of a new illustration I just finished, thinking of spring, blooms, and gardening!

Fabric designs and repeats, this one is up on Printed Village, and also in my Spoonflower shop (for sale asap).

My entry in the latest Spoonflower design challenge, Geodesic theme, with a take on the traditional Storm at Sea block, made into a cheater quilt panel.

And of course, continuing on with paintings!

Blocking in this piece. so far so good! Solo show at Mission Arts Council Gallery coming up fast!

Sewing and quilting projects are kind of on the backburner right now, though I do have a plan for my new collection coming up in the next couple of months with Robert Kaufman Fabrics, I’ll share when I can.

Shows we’ve been watching on Netflix, Amazon, and of course regular tv:
BFG– such a good movie, not just for kids.
Transparent season 3 – finally we can watch it up here, via Amazon Prime Canada- SO good.
Coronation Street,
always a classic, shh no  spoilers please, we’re about a month behind the UK now! & where the heck is Gail?
Painting with Bill Alexander via YouTube– the original tv painter, and always good for some giggles- he’s quite the philosopher, and has some good art advice mixed in there too. “Put your heart on the canvas”- always a good tip.
Guilty pleasure– the Real Housewives series, Beverly Hills, always fun.

Lately I’m all about the 80’s, and there are some good playlists on Apple Music, look up “I miss the 80’s” for a well-rounded dose of all good 80’s tunes.

What’s on at Work work

I just finished up two branding and logo designs, and one more is almost finished. I love designing logos, it’s just so much fun to really delve into a client’s heart and business and create a logo design that really works for them.

– One of my recent finishes, a logo for a pet sitter and carer, (no website just yet!) so much fun to work on!

– Working with a long term client on some pieces for a fashion show and fundraiser event in support of an autism charity.

–  Some new promo pieces for a Toronto-based all-natural apothecary

– Loads of new projects for my large-scale bakery client, looking at photos of yummy cakes all day isn’t too terribly hard… ;D We’re working on a new website for their new range of products, I’ll share once it’s all done and online, very close!

And so much more on the go! Including our own website, which of course is still underway, but as always, client work comes first. But it’s getting there.

So now, it’s back to painting time, and watching the snow fall, again- in March?- what are you up to this weekend?
