Spoonflower contest entry of the week, Microorganisms

October 13, 2015

This one was tricky! What do you do with teeny tiny living cells for a fabric design?

I did some google image searches for “Microorganisms” and found that virus cells are pretty interesting looking, all spiky and funky, so went with the “Virus” theme. I started by sketching some elements to figure out how to do this thang…!

Since its flu and cold season and I have already had the pleasure of enjoying a nasty cold this year, I added a few random germs and other kinda icky things in there, prettied them all up and made a fabric design!

I’ve entered this week’s design contest at Spoonflower, stay tuned and go vote for your faves starting on Thursday!
