With everything going on lately, I realized I haven’t shared two very special commissions I created for some awesome peeps who found me on Instagram and the quilty/arty world.
In no particular order, the first one I completed late last year, a house portrait of a gorgeous Arts & Crafts era home in the eastern US. Oh my gosh, what a beauty to paint!
Deborah’s House, 2017
Acrylic on Canvas
I had so much fun with all the details, the brickwork, plants, and colours! Don’t you want to just take a peek in the window to see what’s inside?
And the second one, a very special pet portrait of a lovely friend’s dog who is no longer on this earth, but is now her owners’ best guardian angel.
Duke, 2018
Acrylic on canvas
I was given free reign to do whatever felt right, and her person just asked for a crown to be added to her head, the rest was up to me! Her big sweet eyes and expression were so much fun to paint. I added angel wings and some cosmos around her, and finished it with some gold leaf accents.
It’s always such an honour to create such special pieces, I feel so grateful that I could create these pieces for such lovely people!
I am so impressed with your pug! Such a great creative creation.
Thank you!! & her owner loved it, yay!
