I recently participated in an online product launch group via a fab co. called Gumroad. Holy moly what an amazing and inspiring bunch, I’m excited to take part in the next round when it starts! You basically are given 10 days to create and launch a product, whatever you want. It’s SO much fun, just make your decisions and go go go! A lot of the participants created e-books, which is smart. I decided to create a physical product, my old school heart just had to do it. I love good e-products too so I created one as well, so basically I came up with 2 products.
It is a pdf file, and you can print it on your regular home printer, on standard 8.5″ x 11″ paper.
The second product is an actual good old fashioned paper calendar, available currently in my old shop here (will be moving over to my new shop on this site shortly so I’ll post as soon as it’s moved!) I really stressed over the pricing for this part, and after a lot of research and comparison shopping, and considering that you can buy a cheap quality, mass-produced calendar at Christmas-time for $40+ or you can buy an awesome and lovingly hand-made calendar for $30 by a hardworking artist and designer that you know, wink wink nudge nudge, I think you know what option I’m gonna choose!
So what’s the story behind the artwork and the calendar itself?
I’ve embraced my love of all things vintage and shabby, and created a series of drawings of favorite and fun things that I love (or loved like my favorite banana bike), added in a dash of design, a sprinkle of funky vintage typography, and a pinch of sass, and it’s basically me all rolled into a year-long calendar.
Here’s a little preview of the monthly artwork, all good stuff like a crow wearing her invisible tiara, loverly typewriters, and Paris, of course!I’ve got a handful of printed copies left, so nab yours while you can!
Head over to my shop here to grab a beautiful paper artsy calendar, designed top to bottom by me and printed locally by my favorite printer on the face of the earth,
or to Gumroad to purchase a downloadable copy here.
Massive thank you for all of your support! xoxo
