Happy 2018! I hope you have started the new year with great things planned and you’re ready to rock it out like the star you are!

2017 was an interesting year for me. I did a lot of purging and letting go of negative and toxic people and stuff. No holds barred. I am done with that chapter, and I’m ready to move on, with my word for 2018- Glorious Abundance and Happiness!

I have a few other words & phrases:

It’s time to stop playing small and shine my light. No more shrinking myself to please others. I am done with that sh*t.

I have been really thinking through everything, what I do for work, my business, my art, basically my whole life. Being creative, your work is your life, and your life is your work. I’ve stripped back all the junk and unnecessary stuff and am feeling very inspired!

I received an excellent inspiration for some new quilt & fabric designs that I’ll be starting on soon.

Some new art ideas are brewing.

I got myself an iPad Pro and Procreate. It’s the shizz. Seriously. Omg. My brain is on fire and I want to know it all now. Playing with it yesterday I created this little digital painting,

It’s SO MUCH FUN! Omg omg. Best purchase ever for advancing my work. I feel super inspired and ready to take it to the next level. My problem now is deciding what to work on first, lol.

Society 6 has been AH-mazing and I plan to add some new collections of work there- I have some self-imposed deadlines to get those done. I think you’ll like them. (And they contain no foul language this time around, although I must say, it’s been a massive hit, so there’s probably going to be another twist on those designs coming up too).

And, I really plan to blog more. I have a lot to say going forward. More soon.

I wish to leave you with this inspiration from a favorite author, Marianne Williamson. Her books, this one, and this one (still working on it but so far..!) changed my world.

“Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, and fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people will not feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It is not just in some of us; it is in everyone and as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give others permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.”
~Marianne Williamson

Wishing you a fantastic 2018! With much love as always,
