I teamed up with my amazing and talented friend and fellow glitter aficionado Lacey over at Feathering My Nest to create some fun and easy ornaments that you can make yourself using fabric I designed and have available for sale in my Spoonflower shop, right here! You get a fat quarter full of ornaments plus a mini bunting that you can quickly stitch up, and they are kid and pet friendly- not breakable! I designed them with sweet pastel and gold glitter prints, so you get the glitter effect without the after effects of real glitter, the stuff you find stuck to your dog, your cheek, everywhere around the house for weeks after Christmas, you know the stuff!
This is what the fat quarter looks like printed at Spoonflower.
Lacey is the creative queen of DIY and she has an awesome tute on how to stitch these lovelies up, take a peek and send her some love!
While you’re there, take a peek through her site and check out all of her tutorials and projects, she’s very inspiring!
To add to the bling, I embellished mine with some beads, Swarovski crystals, and sequins.
For the bunting I used a silver trim and stitched each scallop to it to make one long string to hang on the tree, or wall, or in the window!
If you’d like to get yourself some to stitch up, head over to my Spoonflower shop, here’s a link, there’s still time before Christmas if you order quickly!
This just in! Watch Lacey in action as she sews some of these cuties up, check it out on Shaw Calgary here:
