Oh my gosh what a fab day last Thursday! The team from Spoonflower, Meredith, Theresa, and Alex, came to my studio to hang out, interview me, and reveal the winners from this past week’s design challenge!

Screengrab of live Insta in my studio, Theresa, me, and Meredith, with Alex behind the camera!

And you know what, I totally forgot to pull my phone out to snap some pics myself, not even one, darn it!  But you can watch the reveal on Spoonflower’s  Facebook page, and check out the amazing designs that took the top 10 this past week, so much awesome talent!

Then on Saturday, we were so lucky and honoured to be included in a fun sewing meetup at Blackbird Fabrics with Helen’s Closet and Love to sew Podcast  on Saturday!  Spoonflower and  DMC Embroidery sponsored the event and provided some make and take stitching projects, and all the floss and supplies to add your own bit of magic to the designs, with artwork designed by me!

I started stitching mine but I am not a very patient stitcher so don’t look too closely, I’d rather be drawing the stitches lol!
I’ve paired them with some mini sew-on “tattoos” that you can cut apart and add to other projects for an extra dose of stitch-y magic!
They are sized to fit the same 7” size embroidery hoop from the event, and to fit on a regular Kona cotton fabric Fat Quarter.
And many thanks to the wonderful Spoonflower team and awesome peeps from Love To Sew Podcast Helen and Caroline for hosting such a cool and creative meet up!

So much fun and man! Now I want to sew all the things again!

I’m so honoured and thrilled to be part of such a cool and creative community and grateful for getting the chance to share a peek into my studio and work, and dogs, lol! (Did you catch Starry bringing Norm a beer and Charlie nodding off on the job on the Spoonflower stories? hehehe!) Much love to the awesome Spoonflower team for being so wonderful, kind, and fun!
