Rise Up is a mixed media painting I recently finished, featuring lotuses growing & rising up, being free to bloom and shine on their own but together.

Massive thank you to everyone who stopped by the @nanoosebaystudiotour this weekend!

This piece “A Message to You” found a new home in Vancouver with a lovely collector, & I’m so thrilled & grateful! A few more pieces sold over the weekend including one that’s off to Oregon with a lovely couple who were up for Infusion weekend in Nanaimo. It’s always such an honour when someone loves & purchases your work!

Hey friends! This weekend is my first art market of the season with @nanoosebaystudiotour
Friday night from 6:30-8:30 & all day Saturday from 10-4, most of the artists from the Nanoose Bay Studio Tour will be there in person!

I have loads of new goodies- new cards, artwork, some of my new pottery pieces, and more!

Finishing some new pieces on paper today! I’ll have a few of these with me this weekend @nanoosebaystudiotour all matted & ready to frame! You can’t go wrong!

This week is all the prep work for my first art ma

This week is all the prep work for my first art market of the season this coming weekend @nanoosebaystudiotour . Along with finishing pieces, adding hangers, matts, packaging, plus pricing, signs, table display stuff, and bags!
It’s a lot of time & work behind the scenes, and honestly, expenses too. Bags, envelopes, display racks, packaging, it all adds up.

I was at an event last year & had gone off to the washroom, came back & another vendor was helping themself to my shopping bags- that I keep stored under my table, so it’s not like they were there for the taking.

“Oh I hope you don’t mind, I ran out!” they said.

Um yeah I kinda do mind when you’re taking my stuff. Had you asked I would have given you one, but you took it while I was gone.

So this year, I’m making sure they are clearly my bags! Lol
It’s all the little things, you learn a little bit at each event how to make your stuff a little bit extra special. & add a little bit of magic with each purchase.

I have all new stuff this year, hope to see you there this weekend at Nanoose Place, Friday 6:30-8:30 & Saturday 10-4!
